9+ Years Experience
Hi, I’m Josiane (Josie) Atangana, the founder of ATutoring. Teaching and tutoring have been part of my life for nearly a decade, and nothing brings me more joy than helping students grow in confidence and skills.
I’ve worked as a K–5 teacher, Para-Educator, Library Media Specialist, French Tutor, and Online Instructor, giving me the privilege of supporting students from kindergarten through high school. These experiences have taught me how differently children learn and how important it is to meet them where they are.
Originally from Cameroon, I moved to the United States at 18 to pursue my education and career in teaching. That journey taught me resilience and the value of encouragement, lessons I now bring into every tutoring session.
I’m also TESOL/ESL certified, which allows me to support English learners and bilingual families in addition to my tutoring in reading, writing, math, study skills, and French.
At the heart of my approach is a simple philosophy: "Every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and capable. Whether it’s celebrating small wins or tackling big challenges, I partner with families to make learning both effective and empowering".
Our Mission
At Atutoring, our mission is to empower students to reach their fullest potential through personalized, supportive, and engaging instruction. We believe every child learns differently, and we are committed to tailoring our approach to meet each student’s unique needs. By fostering confidence, resilience, and a love of learning, we help students build the skills they need to succeed academically and beyond.
